Keyboard Qualities Necessary for this studio:
• Touch sensitive keys
• Full size keys
• 5 octave (61 keys) minimum
(but 76 keys are worth the extra cost - a real piano has 88)
• Sustain pedal - (usually costs extra $15)
• Quality piano sound and other acoustic sounds
• Correct heights for keys and bench
(top of white keys=29 in., top of bench=about 20 in.)

Strongly Recommended:
• MIDI capability to attach to your computer
• Headphones
• Keyboard stand
• Keyboard bench
• Good brands: Yamaha, Roland, Kurzweil, Korg, Kawai

$100 keyboards are usually not worth the investment.
Between $200-350 will last you longer through future
teen-age use and equipment failure.
