LINKS

Piano Links
These sites are excellent resources specifically for the piano. They have a significant amount of information, informative articles, and links to even more piano and musical sites.

The Piano Education Page
The Piano Education Page is one of the best musical sites on the Internet.

Music History 101
This page is from the Internet Public Library. If you are looking to do a report on a great composer, this is the place to get info. Great bioraphies, artwork, pictures of musical composers and instruments, are all in this page and neatly organized.

The Piano Page - Maintaining Your Piano
This page is by the Piano Technician's Guild. It has tips on how to buy a piano, and a virtual piano museum.

George Winston's Page and Dancing Cat Records
One of my favorite composers and performers, George is terrific seasonal music. His new album, Plains, is currently out in stores and available online.

Guitar Tabs - Song Chords and Lyrics
This page has a lot of more rock and roll and pop songs with their lyrics and chords to play them. They don't have the melody notes, but if you know the song and can play the chords, you can have some fun!

MIDI Links
Here are some links specifically for MIDI and music technology.

The Classical MIDI Connection
You can download thousands of classical pieces and listen on your own computer in a matter of seconds. Ever wonder how that symphony sounds? Find out here.

MIDI For Beginners
This page explains the basics of MIDI and how it works.

Classical Music MIDI Page
Not enough MIDI files? Click here - lots more of them.

Freeware, Shareware, and Demo Links
These links are a great start to find free shareware, freeware, and demos of excellent programs available to download. Remember, most demos are full versions of the programs except for the ability to save and print (very key functions). Even though they can't save and print, though, they are a great way to find out if you would like to buy a full version of a program.

FinaleMusic.com - Music Notation
Finale Music Technology is the maker of Finale, the best music notation software available. Finale Allegro, a scaled down verson of the full version is usually fine for most people's needs. A free version is also available.

MOTU (Mark Of The Unicorn) Professional Sequencer Digital Performer
MOTU is the maker of Digital Performer - the professional music sequencer employed by this studio
